Warren Church Pig Roast The Warren United Church held its Fourth Annual Pig Roast on Sunday, July 5th at 5 pm at the church in the heart of Warren Village. After a soggy July fourth that saw biblical rain fall throughout the Mad River Valley (sporadic Ark sightings were reported on local news venues), July 5th dawned sunny and warm, and remained that way throughout the day. Mary Laulis supervised preparation of home made beans, cole slaw, stewed apples and other accompaniments—all made from scratch. Hot dogs were available for younger children. Homemade desserts, soft drinks and coffee will complete the menu. Contributions were $15 for adults and $8 for children under 10. “We hope for a successful fundraiser, of course, but just as important, we look forward to a an opportunity for our Valley neighbors and visitors to enjoy a Warren Church welcome at the ‘Little Church with the Big Heart’. We want everyone to leave filled with good food and warm fellowship,” said Coordinator Gary Crosby. To return to this gallery, use your browser's "back" button.
