LET’S THANK JANE WILLARD:

To All Members of the Vermont Conference:

During this Advent season of gift-giving, the Conference Board of Directors and the Christian Education Department invite you to send a special scholarship gift to the Vermont Conference acknowledging the 22 year ministry of Jane Willard. The Vermont Academy of Spiritual Formation (VAST) is a Conference program that benefited greatly from Jane’s oversight. VAST offers education courses—over a three year period--in such areas as Old and New Testament, Church History, Christian Ethics, Spirituality, Theology, and Educational Ministries. VAST classes have equipped countless numbers of lay leaders, Christian Educators and Licensed Ministers for service in our Vermont churches.

Because VAST was such an important part of her work, it seems fitting to recognize Jane’s service with contributions to the VAST scholarship fund. Although the Conference seeks to keep the cost as low as possible, there are still a number of persons who do not have the funds to cover VAST tuition. Expanding the scholarship fund would be a wonderful way of building on the time and energy that Jane invested in this vital program. After the first of the year, we will notify Jane of the names of individuals or churches who donated money in gratitude for her work.

Checks should be made out to Vermont Conference with VAST Scholarship written in the memo line; mail to: Vermont Conference, UCC, 36 North Main Street, Randolph VT 05060.
